A UK pressing of Led Zeppelin’s self titled debut album that has been autographed by the group on the front of the sleeve.
John Bonham has added the dedication ‘To Chris’ above his name. The autographs were obtained at The Usher Hall, Edinburgh, Scotland on February 17th 1970. The autographs come with a letter from the original recipient that reads, ‘The signatures were obtained at The Usher Hall, Edinburgh in February 1970. I was at the concert with Kenneth MacDonald. Kenneth’s brother Douglas, was in charge of the security for the group and he arranged the signing of the L.P. to take place at the concert. The signatures were all in ball point pen. The stamper numbers are 588171 A/1 and 588171 B/1. Both labels are in very good condition and side 2 of the label has the name “Chris Watney” handwritten below the word Atlantic. My maiden name is Watney and I later married Kenneth MacDonald’. The pen did not take to well on the beginning of the ‘J’ in John Bonham’s autograph.
